My Story: The Journey of Goratea Clothes

It all began in a small mountain village, where life was quiet and moments were deep. Over countless cups of tea and hours of tea meditation, I listened—not just to my thoughts, but to my body. It spoke clearly: it wanted to feel truly comfortable, at ease, and wrapped in clothes that felt like they were made just for me.

So, I answered. I brought two sewing machines into my life and started to create. My first creation was simple: a linen T-shirt and pants for my ex-husband. Then came my first dress—a linen canvas adorned with my own hand-made art embroidery. With every stitch, I wasn’t just making clothing; I was weaving a new path for myself.

My journey then led me to Bali, a land of vibrant inspiration. Here, my creativity blossomed into the Bali Collection. I collaborated with wonderful local artists, and my designs evolved, like the beloved open-back dresses. The Bali collection is different—it’s where I fully embraced the philosophy of unique creation.

What We Do?

At Gora Tea Clothes, our mission is to craft everyday essentials that celebrate effortless comfort and mindful living. We believe in sustainable fabrics, thoughtful design, and creating pieces that become a cherished part of your authentic story.

Our design philosophy: simplicity, quality, and respect—for you and the environment.

Every kimono, every dress, and every pair of pants I make is custom. No two pieces are ever exactly alike. Each creation is a unique dialogue with the client who will wear it, making it special and personal. Over all these years, I’ve made countless kimonos, pants, and dresses for all of you. To this day, I am still surprised and deeply humbled by the fire that burns for my small business. This passion is my driving force. I want to grow. I want to create endlessly. And most importantly, I want to make true friends with my loyal clients.

Thank you for being part of this story. What began with tea and a quiet revelation in the mountains continues with every unique piece made for you. With love and stitches, Your Maker at Goratea Clothes

Frequently Asked Questions

Our philosophy was born from silence and mindfulness. We create clothing for comfort that allows you to feel light and authentic. Each item is a unique, custom-made piece meant to become part of your personal story.

Because no two pieces are exactly alike. We don’t mass-produce collections. Every kimono, dress, or pair of pants is created individually based on the client’s wishes. You receive a truly exclusive item, infused with the attention and energy of the maker.

Our atelier is located in Russia and in Ubud, Bali (Indonesia). It is here, surrounded by nature and a creative atmosphere, that our “Bali Collections” come to life.

The process is simple and personalized:

1. Contact us via Instagram @gorateaclothes, email, or WhatsApp.
2. We discuss your wishes: the model (kimono, dress, pants), fabric choice from available options, color, sizing, and any custom details (length, neckline, sleeves).
3. After finalizing all details and receiving a deposit, we begin creating your unique piece.

Absolutely! That is the essence of our approach. Any base model can be adapted for you: change the length, sleeve type, neckline or back detail, add or remove pockets, or choose unique embroidery or fabric combinations.

Creating one piece typically takes 7 to 14 working days, depending on the order’s complexity and the atelier’s schedule. We agree on exact timing individually before starting work.

We love natural, breathable fabrics that get better with time. Primarily:

· Linen: Our love since the very first dress. Durable, eco-friendly, perfect for warm climates.
· Cotton: Soft and comfortable for everyday wear.
· Silk: For special, flowing models.
· Blends of natural fabrics.

We recommend:

· Hand washing in cool water with a mild detergent.
· If using a washing machine, select a delicate cycle and use a mesh laundry bag.
· Dry flat in the shade, avoiding direct sunlight.
· Iron on the reverse side while the fabric is still slightly damp.
More detailed care instructions are provided with each item.

We ship orders worldwide via reliable courier services (e.g., DHL, EMS).

Shipping costs and delivery times depend on your location and the chosen method. We calculate them individually before confirming your order. Typical transit time ranges from 7 to 21 days.

We accept payments via international transfer (Wise, Revolut), PayPal, or bank card (options will be specified).

Shade Dressmaker

Shade is our lead seamstress, a quiet artisan working from her sunlit studio in Bali. Her hands are her greatest tool; they move with a grace that only comes from over 15 years of dedication. She doesn’t just sew—she listens to the fabric, guiding natural cottons and linens with the patience of a true craftsman.

Every piece that leaves her station is checked personally by her sharp eyes. She refuses to rush, believing that a perfect hem is a form of respect—for the wearer and for her own heritage. Shade uses ancient Balinese measurement techniques and repurposes every scrap of material, turning waste into thoughtful, sustainable details.

She is the quiet heartbeat of our workshop. When we ask her what she thinks about while sewing, she simply smiles and says, “I think about the person who will wear it. I want them to feel safe.”

goracraft.com is proud to be Shade’s partner. She is the proof that slow, ethical fashion is not just a trend—it is a legacy. We make the designs; she makes them matter.
